Cal Fire Report Points To PGE Equipment As Cause In Historic Wildfire

As the hills around the Central Coast begin their transition from green to gold, The investigation into the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California’s history has come to a close. Cal Fire investigators have concluded that The Camp Fire in Butte County was caused by electrical transmission lines owned and operated by Pacific Gas and Electricity. According to the Tribune, PG&E acknowledged in February that its power equipment is likely to blame for the Camp Fire and said its wildfire liabilities raise “substantial doubt” about the company’s future.
