Cal Fire firefighters made quick work of an attic fire at the Avila Valley Barn late yesterday afternoon. When crews arrived they found smoke pouring from a building on the property that houses the ice cream shop and deli. Firefighters were able to keep the flames contained to the attic. The full extent of the damage is unclear, but officials say the crews from six engine companies made a great save. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
