Tell Us About Your Creature
A:We adopted onyx from woods, we found out he was a bate dog for dog fighting. Onyx has lots of trust issues with people and other animals. Almost a year later he is the protector of our mainecoon kitten Bynx and loves other dogs. He has shown me what patience is, trust, and so many other things. I’m going to tell you a little funny story about this guy. So Onyx is a Akita German shepherd mix he weighs around 80 pounds. I went to bed around 930pm, which is very early for myself, my husband was down stairs playing video games. So I thought to myself Onyx shoukd be fine he’s got daddy right near.. well about 30 mins later I hear banging down stairs. I ignore it thinking it’s my husband but then he started yelling “babe babe come here look at this!” I fly down stairs to see Onyx suck in the dog/baby gate that has a square opening for cats to get through. I tell my husband to stop laughing because I think I can get him out without any injuries… well right when I said that Onyx took off down stairs with the baby gate around his body. Onyx was fine my walls are scratched up.. so I go upstairs and I step in something.. IT WAS POOOP. My dog scared the crap out of himself.
